Fee Policy
As your local GP practice the Loxton Health Centre takes pride in delivering a high quality service to our patients and community.
The Loxton Health Centre is a private billing practice.
Government incentives such as MyMedicare, have allowed ‘most’ Doctors to bulk bill. This applies to patients registered with MyMedicare who are Commonwealth Concession/Pension card holders and Children under 16 and also for appointments booked in advance.
Booking ‘On the Day’ and ‘Next day’ appointments will still incur an out of pocket expense. These types of appointments require payment in full on the day.
Phone consultations are not bulk billed.
All Nurse Practitioner consultations incur a fee.
Please ask about fees when booking your appointment.
- DVA card holders will be continue to be bulk billed
- Certain procedures (e.g. skin excisions, Mirena insertions) will occur an additional cost
If an appointment is missed without notifying the clinic at least 3 hours before the start of the appointment, there will be a ‘Did Not Attend’ fee invoiced to you.
NOTE: additional services and equipment are available for additional charge. Please call us to discuss theses charges.
Please make full payment on the day of consultation. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, credit card or EFTPOS.
We understand, that at times you may experience genuine financial hardship. If you are having difficulty paying your account, please discuss this with our accounts staff, our practice manager or your doctor.
